Imagine being able to hear and see into a composer’s mind, try your hand at live orchestration or follow the inspiration of a folk melody as it grows into a symphonic vision… imagine a concert where an expert host guides you through a work, as though taking you from room to room in an extraordinary house…imagine a concert where the audience and orchestra form a creative partnership…
For listeners who are new to, or curious about, classical music, Access Concerts take the audience behind the scenes of the musical process. The 75-minute concerts feature performances of one or two works, preceded by explanation and excerpts. Each Access Concert is followed by an opportunity for the audience to get to know the musicians better through free post-concert events.
